#2. Eligibility to become a BDO (BDO Eligibility) -
To become a Block Development Officer, a candidate must have passed graduation or post-graduation from any recognized university.
#3. Age limit for becoming BDO -
To become a BDO, the minimum age of the candidate must be 21 years and the maximum age must be 40 years. Candidates can apply for this post after completing 21 years of age. Candidates belonging to reserved category can apply for this post as per rules, OBC for three years and SC, ST. There is a provision to provide relaxation of five years to the candidates.
#4. Selection Process for BDO Post -
Candidates for this post are selected on the basis of written examination and interview , first of all the written examination is conducted, the candidate who passes the written examination is called for interview.
PRELIMINARY EXAM)
Candidates applying for this post have to appear in the examination conducted by the Public Service Commission, there are two papers in this examination, and the time duration of both the examinations is two hours.

MAIN EXAM
Candidates who pass the preliminary examination are included in the main examination, there are four compulsory question papers in this examination, apart from this, there will be four question papers of two optional subjects chosen by the candidate, the compulsory question papers will have 150-150 marks for General Hindi, Essay. There will be two question papers of General Studies and two question papers of 200 marks each, both the question papers will have objective type questions.

- In the section related to Indian Politics, questions will be asked related to the political system in India and Indian Constitution, questions will be asked about the broad features of economic policy in India and Indian Economy.
Interview
Candidates who have passed both the examinations are called for interview, in which the ability and reasoning power of the candidate is assessed, in this you are selected according to your performance , after this a merit list is issued by the Public Service Commission, According to this merit list, the selected candidate is appointed to the post of Block Development Officer.
#5. Block Development Officer Salary (Salary of BDO) -
BDO i.e. Block Development Officer receives monthly salary ranging from Rs 9300/- to Rs 34,800/- , along with this he also gets other government facilities.
